The Beauty In Sadness

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 馃
This week's prompt got me thinking if there are people who really feel comfortable in their sadness.
Sadness is a state of emotional pain, sorrow, grief, unhappiness, loss, and longing and can be caused by different reasons like failure, disappointment, loss of a loved one, unmet expectations, and so on.
My curiosity got me browsing to know if truly there are people who are comfortable in pain, and I was shocked to find out that these people do actually exist.
People find comfort in sadness due to several reasons, like familiarity; this is a state where a person has gotten to the state of finding comfort and security in their pain, avoidance, connection, and so on.
I have been sad on numerous occasions, and that mostly happens when things do not really go as I planned them, but I have never been comfortable in my sad state. I do not like it when I am sad because it really affects my mood, and when my mood is affected, it affects my daily activities and the quality of my interaction with people.
While sadness is an emotional outlet that allows us to express and process how we feel about a situation, I personally do not think it is a state to dwell in for long.
A sad feeling is supposed to trigger a state of sober reflection in which you go over the situation that resulted in that sad feeling again, and this time around, you take out time to thoroughly analyze and comprehend the gaps that you could have filled had you known better. The essence of this exercise is that you learn from your mistakes, while the end product is that you do not repeat them again.
Sadness is a valid emotional outlet and should be optimally utilized to maximize its usefulness.
