SUP Sunday

Have you ever tried SUP?
Don't know what it is?
Here is how they describe the benefits of SUP on one site, which came on top of my Google checkup
Stand up paddling is a full-body exercise and has become a popular cross-training workout. While the leg muscles do most of the hard work, as they are the ones supporting all the weight, virtually every muscle in your body will be engaged at some point. The arms, back, and shoulders are used when paddling. The core, back, and abdominal muscles keep your balance.
With this summer being crazy, unusually hot for us (several weeks now, day after day 31-34C, while normally only 2-3 days should get above 30C in a whole year here), yesterday our family decided to visit area of many lakes near Trakai, west from Vilnius. SUP seem to be a perfect addition to the usual plain swimming.
Those (one of the best) RED PADDLE boards were no problem to rent there for less than €7 an hour. Super stable. Super fun to use, even for one who steps on such a board the first time in his life.
Water in Galve lake was cool, very refreshing, perhaps around ~21C. Crisp and clear. Lots of yachts, surfers, paddlers, tour boats around.
Yet we still managed to find some privacy, and enjoy watching wild life, and taking a sun bath.
This was not our first SUP Sunday, and certainly not the last. Summer is not long here, and we must squeeze every bit out of it.
My daughters were streaming Live from the middle of the lake, making many of their friends jealous. Finally, not even a sign of that damn COVID any place around.
Next Sunday is only 6 days away. Maybe a better alternative to Khal's SOONday.
