Russia has made a difficult decision to reduce inflation in the prices of basic goods such as bread and sunflower oil, which at the beginning of the month the price had a rapid increase.

The export tax will be 30% or not less than 165 euros per ton and will be valid from 1 February until at least the end of June.

Minister of Economics Maxim Reshetnikov also announced that the government has proposed a contribution of 25 euros per ton of wheat from mid-February to the end of June.

Finally, the government signed an agreement with sugar and sunflower oil producers with the aim of stabilizing prices and hold inflation.

It seems that Russia is starting to have a very big economic problem and in the future it may become even bigger not just there but all over the world since the coronavirus is mutating and the global production and trade is immediately affected by it.

States, governments and people must finally realize that it is a serious issue, it has more complex consequences than the immediate ones we see every day and it is for everyone’s benefit to work together on this. But that is not the world we live in.
