I've been playing Soulkeep every day, and while there are definitely some frustrating issues with glitches and the earnings system, I have to admit — I’m really enjoying it. It’s become part of my daily routine, and now that I’ve made it to League 6, I’m seeing both the excitement and challenges that come with progressing further into the game.

One of the biggest changes I’ve noticed in League 6 is how slow the progress feels compared to the earlier stages. The number of Soul fiends you need to level up has increased significantly — it’s multiples of what we’ve been used to so far, reminding me a lot of how progression works by combining cards in Splinterlands. It’s satisfying to level up, but it does start to feel like a grind, especially when the progression curve steepens so drastically.

In terms of gameplay, I’ve been having a lot of fun with the different maps and enemies they’ve thrown at us. The variety keeps things interesting, but at the same time, I’ve noticed that only a select few cards seem to have become the meta for the game. This limits the variety of strategies I can use and leaves a lot of my cards gathering dust. If you’re serious about climbing the leaderboard or advancing quickly, it’s hard to justify using anything other than the most effective cards — and that’s a shame because I’d love to see more diversity in viable strategies.

To address this, I think it would be really interesting if Soulkeep introduced a random ban system on certain cards each game, similar to what we see in other competitive games. This would make things more challenging and force players to think on their feet. It would also create more demand for a wider range of cards in the marketplace, instead of just the few meta cards that everyone seems to rely on. More importantly, it could shake up the leaderboard a bit — right now, it’s clear that some players have found strategies that allow them to dominate consistently, and while that’s impressive, it can also feel a little stale for the rest of us.

Personally, I’m still happy with my progress and participation in Soulkeep, even if things have slowed down. But I can imagine that some of the current struggles with balance, card variety, and progression might turn off newer or more casual players over time. The game has a lot of potential, and I’d love to see the developers take some steps to keep things fresh and engaging for everyone.

I’ll keep grinding my way through League 6 and beyond, and I’m hopeful that Soulkeep will continue to evolve. There’s a solid foundation here, and with some tweaks, I think it could become an even more enjoyable experience for both hardcore players and those just looking to have some fun.
