Mango, my favourite fruit

One of the most common fruits in my country is the mango, there are many different types and flavours, and when I was a child, together with my friends, we ate a lot of them every day, as there were mango trees everywhere.
I remember my grandmother saying that I would turn yellow from eating it so much and that I might even die, but nothing stopped me from doing so.
It is my favourite fruit and here you can find it in the markets but it doesn't have the same earthy taste as in my country.
A few months ago an aunt who came from Venezuela, knowing my taste for fruit, brought me some and I ate them as if they were the last ones on earth, savouring and enjoying them as the most exotic dish on the planet.
In San Carlos, capital of the state of Cojedes, one of the states with the greatest variety and production of mangoes in my country, there is a square in honour of the fruit, I was there a few times and although it may seem exaggerated, I found them less tasty than the ones in my town.
The mango trees were perfect to hide in when we played a very popular game called "el escondido", they were also perfect to ride on and develop our skills and there was no one who could escape from falling from them.
Here is a picture I got on the net of the square in honour of the fruit.Waivio AI Assistant
