Hello Today is a route between France and Italy. The photos are random of what I lived during this journey, where you will see some amazing photos of this route, taken from a fairy tale. These Alps are amazing to know and enjoy.
When people think of the south of France, Montpellier, Marseille, Cannes and Nice come to mind. The place is very nice but there are few places to visit. In other words, there is no evidence. But there is another river in the south of France, which rises on the border of the departments of Var and Haute-Provence-Alpes. With its cold waters for all this tour with new people to meet during this adventure .
The lakes and valleys have been carved by water for millions of years, and the pines and oaks are beginning to be replaced by trees more suited to higher elevations. The Alps begin here. In the northern High Alps, one of Europe's largest lakes, you'll find a surprise unique to Europe: Snake Lake. It is one of the largest lakes in Western Europe, and here is a beautiful view of this long lake.
Its blue color has a hypnotic effect. When you arrive (Avignon is the largest city and well worth a visit), don't forget to stop for a coffee (especially on a rainy afternoon) at a little place called Le Relais Fleuri. It is simply a roadside restaurant with a beautiful setting, French cuisine, a pond full of flowers and a view of the lake twelve miles away.Where I found this beautiful butterfly .
Here begins the incredible 90 kilometers route through France. Walk through the Alps on one of the best routes in Europe. The trail starts in the village of Amberen, located on the western side of the lake. The town is also worth a visit for its religious history, and the still-existing church of Saint-Ambroise is one of the most beautiful in western France. North of the villas of Tuscany is the best experience in years of travel I recommend you do as a couple or alone.
The next step from here is to connect with the N94 heading north. The road passes through a valley created by the Durance River. The unique feature of this trip is the high mountains on both sides of the road. If you have time, you can rest for a while to enjoy part of your trip when you reach Mont-Dauphin.
In this small town, located on the edge of the confluence of the Durance and Gilles rivers, you will find a large castle that protects the town. It was built in the 17th century by Sébastien Le Preste, Lord Vauban, the greatest military architect in the history of France. Another attraction is the Reuter Fountain. It is a geological formation that was created over thousands of years by the thermal waters of the Durance River. The salt collection creates a pattern that emerges every year, which is great to see. Continuing on the N94 you will reach Briançon.
This place is unique, not only is it the largest city in France and the second largest city in Europe (after Davos in Switzerland), but it is located at 1,350 meters above sea level. The road here becomes Strada Statale 24 del Monginevro. As you descend the mountains on the Italian side, you will see many villages (although they are pretty at any time of the year). This is Cesana Torinese and the small village of Amasa, with a population of 60. The houses were on the hillside, with thatched roofs and white walls, one on top of the other, full of the feeling of travel.
