How We Should Pray. MCGI Mass Indoctrination Review

Prayer is part of the doctrines in the church. We pray because we must talk with our Father in heaven. God, our Father delights to hear our voices. He wants us to come to Him every time there is a need. The doctrine of prayers is a very important doctrine in the church.

The way we pray determines if God will hear us. If we do not pray according to the will of God, He won't hear us. If God does not hear us, that means our prayers can not receive answers from Him.

In the MCGI Mass Indoctrination, Bro Eli Soriano explained to us how we should pray.

Avoiding Vain Repetitions

Matthew 6:7 (KJV) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Jesus taught us to pray without making useless repetitions. Vain repetitions does not guarantee our prayers being answered by God. We should avoid praying repetitive prayers. We should avoid some of the religious practices of repeating words during our prayers or counting beads. Our God is not weary in hearing us. He delights in the prayers of the righteous. So, we should not pray with vain repetitions.

Be Not Like The Hypocrites

Matthew 6:5 (KJV) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
In our prayers, we should not be like the hypocrites. We should not pray for people to applaud us. We should not play to look good before men. Our motives in prayers should be genuine and sincere. God hates hypocrisy, so we should avoid approaching Him with a hypocritical attitude.

Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
