From Here to Eternity, a Brittex quest to Hive

If you have Hive in Bittrex holdings, like I do, and you want to move the Hive to your Hive Wallet, it can be a challenge.
The dreaded Automated Maintenance message has been there for a month now. So if you want to move your Hive from Bittrex to your Hive Wallet, you are out of luck. I contacted the help desk a few times. I think there was a one hour window when the Automated Maintenance message went away, but that was during my daily commute.
Not to be deterred, I tried a different avenue. Bitcoin is available in Bittrex and I should be able to move it to my BitPay wallet. Except!
Bitpay uses SegWit and Bittrex does not support SegWit addresses! Bittrex you fiend, you think you have foiled me.
But what about that white knight Ethereum? Could I liquidate the pseudo Hive on the Bittrex exchange and convert those dollars to Ethereum and then send from Bittrex wallet to BitPay Wallet?
Finally, a little success! BitPay and Bittrex both use hex addresses. That worked and now to bridge from BitPay to HIVE?
It's back to our old standby SimpleSwap. Except it's the middle of the day in the good ole USA, so the Ethereum miners are hard at work and wanting above average pay. Is it worth 1% to move my $100 of Ethereum to Hive? I think so and then I made an error.
On Simple Swap you can add a memo, which I did. But then I didn't add the same memo on BitPay. Can you guess what happened? The Ethereum left BitPay and hit SimpleSwap. But it couldn't be converted to Hive because of the mismatch in memo line. Totally, my fault.
The next morning, I sent a message to SimpleSwap. A reply email was sent to me in less than 30 minutes. I authorized SimpleSwap to send without memo and 30 minutes later, the tokens showed up in my Hive Wallet!
Just to make it clear, SimpleSwap is a hero in this saga.
