Oh I'll remember "Alchemy of souls" for a long time, one of my favourite Korean drama series for a while now and the male lead won my heart enough to get me searching for more of his series. I found this one but I was almost discouraged from seeing it, I didn't fall for the "The storyline is boring" comment because I had already downloaded all the episodes.
I decided to use the male lead as an excuse alongside the fact that I have downloaded the episodes to see the series. Thankfully, it turned out to be an interesting watch for me. Boring?! Oh no, very far from it.

"The Impossible Heir" also known as "The Royal Loader" is a short south Korean series (12 episodes) released in February this year. The genres include action, crime and drama. A storyline of politics, power and backgrounds. I love romance genres in movies but surprisingly, I didn't need that at all to enjoy this one. There's a tiny bit of romance but it wouldn't have changed much of the story if there wasn't any.
The storyline is about... Three students who got involved with each other, one is the son of a murderer, another is an illegitimate son of a Chaebol family and the lady is faced with bills from her mother who is a gambler. The two with poor backgrounds decides to use the rich son as a ladder to their success in life.
As adults years later, the three are still very much active on their plan to take over the Kango Group (the rich family's business) but things began to take unexpected turns when the rich son starts to act on his own and may have had his own plan right from the beginning.
What is impossible about the heir? Would the three friends remain friends? Did they succeed in their grand plan? Suspense and thrilling scenes awaits you if you decide to find out about these in the series. But there's more!

I was actually reminded of the series "Wedding Impossible" before I started this series, the wedding never happened, so that could also mean, whatever plan in this story wouldn't work too but maybe there's more to it. Just as expected but most interestingly, there was an impossible and that was the plan not going as they planned from the beginning.
The lead character, who happens to be the mastermind of the plan (Lee Jae-Wook) succeeded in getting viewers to love him over and over for his role like in "Alchemy of Souls". How he overcame whatever sabotage on his plans to come on stronger is admirable. The series shows a lot about the world of the rich and the gap to get there for the poor. He was poor but very rich in desperation, dreams and brain.
The supporting characters especially the father of the illegitimate son played really significant roles I didn't expect at all. The twists and suspense in this series were all exciting for me and I believe anyone who likes the genres would find it exciting too.
I didn't think that I'll have too little to say about this series when I decide to review it but well, that's all I can say about it but it had me hooked from start to finish and thankfully, it isn't a long series like others. I'll recommend to anyone who is in for good suspense, twists and crime scenes, it isn't a boring one I must repeat hehe.
Do check it out and let me know what you think about it. Off to finish up a series I started recently hehe.
