Dope Places In My Hood For December Celebrations

Before I travel to a different city, one of the first things I do is to contact my peeps at the place to inform them of my impending visits. I haven't had a lot of traveling in recent years so whenever I do I always make sure to maximize the journey. Going long distances can be very frustrating for me. One of the things that makes it worthwhile is enjoying the sweet spots in the places I take the pain to visit.
In like manner, whenever my friends travel down to my city they always make it a case in point to enjoy all the goodies my city has to offer. As interesting as it is to take my friends round the city, it can also be somewhat challenging because I have friends with varying interests.
So if a guest/dude comes visiting, the first place I will take him to is a place of natural relaxation and enjoyment. It is not the most exotic of places; heck, it is not even close to being fanciful. However, Omi Eja is an eventful and serene place visited by people of all ages, classes and social strata. Though I do not know the rationale behind the name, I strongly believe it was so named because they serve arguably the best catfish pepper soup in my city. Also, the place might have gotten its name due to the bodies of water right on the other side of the road.
Omi Eja isn't exotic or expensive and it is very popular down here, its natural setting making it a place of careful comfort and relaxation. During the festive period the place becomes a lot more lively, with music and live bands on the menu. Back in the days, we throng to the place in droves immediately we cross to the new year. It is such an awesome place to be.
ShopRite Mall
Another place that becomes incredibly busy during the festive season is one of the biggest shopping malls in my city, ShopRite. The mall is that one place that has every bit and pieces of entertainment one can easily think of. For starters, the pizza over there is damn good. And leading to the main shopping hall is an exotic lounge bar for my nightcrawler friends who love nightlife and every oddity that comes with it.
For my foodie friends, the place houses the whole repertoire of Chicken Republic, KFC and Domino's Pizza. And just when the day may start getting boring and stressful, FilmHouse Cinema takes over with the latest set of movies in a very cozy cinema. Needless to say, the mall is one of the most visited places during December festivities. In recent times, they've also gone to great lengths to make provisions for a place where kids can hang out and enjoy themselves. For kids over here, their December is never settled without a visit to the popular ShopRite Mall.
In conclusion, the places I'll take a guest to will be determined by the person's lifestyle. The two places I listed are just for general purposes. A friend that loves to party hard will definitely demand for a more fun-filled location than those two while my sporty friends will probably want to enjoy a live match at the township stadium or participate in an intense 5-a-side football match at our local San Siro. In fact, there are so many places out there to visit.
