Today I show you the beautiful #VIEWS and a #WALK around the HOTEL SÖDRA BERGET ~ in SUNDSVALL, Västernorrland County, SWEDEN. 🇸🇪
We stayed a #night there last #SUMMER while on a #roadtrip 🚗 and saw the most #scenic views as the hotel is located at the highest point in Sundsvall on the #coast of middle Sweden. Come along and check it out 😊

We arrived late in the afternoon and checked in around 1800h.
In the hotel’s lobby we find this grand #PIANO 🎹 a beautiful touch.
There are lots of cute little areas to sit around.
Upstairs there is a balcony in the hallway. We see a large window that has the entranceway of the hotel.
Peeking over the railing we see the whole front is made out of glass panes.
Next to a #SPA area there is a waiting room /relax area. No we didn’t check out the spa / #sauna. No time hahaha
In the #elevator we see the #temperatures of the next days. Lovely summer weather, not too hot or cold ☀️

Shall we check out the views now around the hotel 😎 let’s goooooo… For a walk!
Just at the back of the hotel, where the restaurant is located we go onto the terrace. Looking towards Sundsvall city.
There are a few areas with benches and chairs 🪑 The view towards the right goes all the way to the coast, you see a few islands.
Sundsvall has a large and beautiful #bridge 🌉

Even more… I love the construction of the bridge. Great architecture!

Looking towards the left we see more of the city and suburbs.
As it is already late we go for a quick bite… ok we had dinner 😊 on the table a cute little light 🕯️
After dinner about 1 hour later we decided to go for a hike as there are many many #trails around the hotel. Also #cycle paths and a #ski ⛷️ slope.
I found some signs 🪧 with all the routes. Here the BIKE TRAILS.
This sign shows you summer #hiking trails and winter ski or #cross-country #skiing trails. 🎿
We walk over the parking 🅿️ area towards the tower we see on the side of the hotel. The start for skiing ⛷️
The views are stunning 🤩
We check out the bridge again with less trees obstructing it now.

Other hotel #guests thought the same and are enjoying their views.
I squeeze next to them and take some photographs 😊
Looking down we see the slope for skiing ⛷️ in the winter covered with SNOW ❄️
The sun is shining strong, I capture the skies lift on the left of the tower. ☀️
We go for a little hike over one of the trails. 😊 The entrance…

We wander through the edge of a forest. All the way around the hotel and reach the road again. We walk over a path now. Looking back at the hotel we have this view 🥰 a stunning location!

Even weeds are beautiful 🤩 these ones smell very strong.
The trees get thicker and we look into the direction of the city itself again. The hotel is way out… on top of the #mountain.
Just have a look at the mountain layers in the distance… a light haze 😊
Slowly we walk back again. I see some #chamomile.

We ended up in the back of the hotel along the bottom and had to climb some (old) wooden steps up to get to the back terrace. A route that wasn't used a lot hahaha
The ski lift and the large tower. We climbed for the views.
What do I see now… #reflections!
The tower, trees and blue sky are STUNNING in the windows 🪟
Next to the tower on the ground… more reflections. The sign tells us we are at 62 degrees North on the #latitude.

We liked the location of this hotel, especially with so many trails around the mountain down. Hiking, biking / mountain biking.
Check it out if you are ever in the area. It is a nice stop with lots of extras 😁
