The Boot is Out There

No, you're not seeing pretty clouds at sunset, you're seeing what is possibly the first stages of an alien invasion along the Pacific shores.

With all the drone hysteria, I've been keeping my eyes on the skies. We have a lot of traffic in the skies because of planes, aquaplanes, helicopters, and so on. I was out for a stroll the other when I looked at the distant sky, where I could see a faint object drifting slowly in the air. It was just hovering there for a minute then slowly began to drift down to the right. If it was a drone, I thought, it must've been a large one because it was fairly far. If it wasn't a drone then what the heck was it?

Mysterious drones have been harassing the continental US and other places around the world, though it seems they have taken a Christmas break, raising all sorts of questions. But I digress. Of course, I'm not about to start believing that there are drones hovering over the Pacific ocean off the Canadian coast. What are the chances of that? I stood there staring for a few minutes, trying to look as normal as possible to people passing by. Nothing here to see, folks. Just a man appreciating the sunset and not looking for aliens at all. I had my camera with me but not my lens. Not expecting much, I raised the camera nevertheless, zoomed in, and took a snapshot. Was I just seeing things?

I uploaded the file to my computer, and sure enough, there was a floating object in the photograph. If you click on the first image, you can get a higher resolution of the photo. I cropped the object to take a closer look as shown below. It did not look like an airplane or helicopter. It looked cylindrical and L-shaped like a boot. At that distance, I wouldn't have been able to see a normal size drone. Whatever was floating out there was very large.

I'm convinced I saw something in the western sky that evening. Who is watching over us? i wonder. Are they cosmic game wardens keeping an eye on us, ready to intervene when necessary? Perhaps they're governments testing new technology and our patience. Some have proposed that the visitors are angels and demons from alternate dimensions coming to tempt us with carnal insinuations (okay I added the last part but you catch my drift). Or maybe we have outrun the quantum clock and come back full circle to see each other for the first time. I don't have the answers, but I do know that I have another X file in my hands.
