The Alchemy of Life

The mathematics of life escapes me but what I can grasp with my own senses and reason astounds. Life has an "intelligent" regularity in form that is so geometrically precise, there is nothing like it. It can only be achieved through rigorous computations fighting against the forces of entropy.
Take the leaves on this cypress. Notice that exquisite form that resemble braided strings. To create something like this requires amazing biological intelligence. Imagine all the cellular and genetic processes that have led it to this point. I'm talking about the history of its species, spanning millions or rather billions of years of evolution.
These processes of life production, occur at different scales and they are all around us. Sprouting. Growing. Blooming. Dying. For whatever reason, conditions on this planet are just right for this variety of life structures. But notice how fragile it is. A slight change in conditions, and this process called life reacts to it accordingly. It's a wonder how lifeforms have stubbornly remained on this planet for so long.
"Indeed, these spirits meet with metallic solutions and will mix with them. And when they are in a state of motion and vegetation, they will putrefy & destroy the metallic form and convert it into spirits similar to themselves. Which can then ascend again and thus a perpetual circulation of metals takes place."
