Ajax - Champions 2019 Eredivisie The Netherlands

And today it’s official. Ajax won the last match of the season and won the title this year in The Netherlands.

It was a pretty exciting race with PSV. If PSV wouldn’t lose last week, both Ajax and PSV would end with the same amount of points 86. 86 points out of 34 matches is quite a good performance. Also PSV did very well ending with 83 points. The gap with 3rd position is quite big with Feyenoord having 65 points. It is always exciting to see when two or more teams are so close until the end of the competition.

With the KNVB dutch cup, the league title and not to forget a half finale position in Champions League, Ajax deserves a big applause.

By taking out very big teams like Bayern Munchen, Real Madrid and Juventus, Ajax showed us that it’s not all about the money. Being among these fantastic clubs and almost making it to the final is a massive achievement for such a young team.

They played matches with fantastic football and I am really proud of this team.
