Screw It, Let's Do It : My Best Read
3 comments
Growing up, I always had an unconditional love for reading. One of the best moments I remember in primary school was the reading classes. I started reading back at basic school 2. During that time, it was rare to see a kid at that level, especially in my town, who could pronounce basic English words. Since then, I have always enjoyed reading, which has impacted my life significantly.
I was always fond of reading story books and folktales since that was what I had at my disposal and I eventually developed a love for them. I was introduced to other types of books aside from stories when I was admitted to senior high school. This is how it started, this friend of mine used to bring all kinds of books to school which was passed on to him by his father. We were on a holiday when I went to his shop and he was reading this book titled, "Screw It, Let's Do It". The book caught my attention and I decided to borrow it for some time and this was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
The book was written by one of the most famous and successful entrepreneurs, Richard Branson. Whenever I have the opportunity to tell the best book I have ever read, no book comes to my mind apart from this book. It is a motivational business book based on the biography of the author. In the book, he shares his life stories, beliefs, and practices. The Key points I took from the book are, challenging one's self, boldness, having fun, and doing things you love. It also emphasizes the need to value one's family and stand on your own feet.
This book changed my life in so many ways especially navigating through work life and family. This was the first biography I have ever read and the most interesting thing is that I was still a teenager then and the book served as a guide for me in the business world. The book is something that you will never regret checking out if you are interested in learning about business and self-development.
