Bill & Ted Face the Music is a 2020 American science fiction comedy film and the third installment in the Bill & Ted franchise. It is a sequel to 1989's Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and 1991's Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, and stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprising their roles as the titular characters.
In the film, Bill and Ted are now middle-aged fathers who have failed to live up to their destiny of writing a song that will unite the world and save humanity. They are visited by Kelly, the daughter of Rufus, their deceased time-traveling guide, who tells them that they have until 7:17 p.m. that night to write the song or reality will collapse.
Bill and Ted decide to travel through time to steal the song from their older selves. Along the way, they are pursued by a time-traveling robot sent by the future to stop them. They also meet their daughters, who have their own plan to save humanity.
In the end, Bill and Ted learn that the song is already inside them, and they perform it at a concert that unites the world. They also learn that it is okay to not be perfect, and that they are loved by their families and friends.
Bill & Ted Face the Music is a fun and heartwarming film that celebrates friendship, family, and music. It is a worthy addition to the Bill & Ted franchise, and it is sure to please fans of the previous films.
The film received generally positive reviews from critics, with many praising the performances of Reeves and Winter, as well as the film's humor and heart. It was not a box office success, grossing over $6 million worldwide on a budget of $25 million.
