In this Rules of Combat, balancing Speed with other stats like Health and Damage becomes even more important. Speedy monsters are more likely to strike first and this is why Lobb Lowland's reduced speed is importnat. This increases your chances of taking out opponent monsters before they act. He also gives you the opportunity to use Gladiator Monsters like Quora Towershead opening up that limited monster pool for this battle.
For newcomers, Need for Speed Rules of Combat may be tricky at first due to your limited card collection. However, building around this rule can improve your knowledge of monster Speed stats and the importance of faster monsters. This may help you a lot in your journey for the future as you slowly build your collection.

The buy price for Lobb Lowland is at an affordable price costing around $0.26 per card. However, the level 8 costs $28.74 already while not even being a max level card which would make it a luxury purchase in my opinion.

Renting Lobb Lowland at level 3 costs only 1.11 DEC per day, which makes it very affordable to rent. For most players looking to experiment with Rare summoners, Lobb Lowlands can be a good one especially for Guild players for those strong Gladiator cards. At a max level, he has rental price of 9.66 DEC per day.

💪 Stats | Lobb Lowland
Lobb Lowland is a Rare summoner from the Chaos Legion Series.
Level 3 Rare summoners allow the use of:
Level 2 Legendary monsters;
Level 2 Epic monsters;
Level 3 Rare monsters;
Level 4 Common monsters.
A Rare Chaos Legion summoner for Earth Splinter. Lobb Lowland combines the ability to reduce opponent Speed by 1 with Conscript ability allowing more flexibility by allowing the use of Gladiator monsters in Ranked Format. Without Conscript ability, Gladiator monsters can only be used in Brawl, which is Splinterland's term for Guild Wars or Guild Battles.
-1 Speed. [Stat Modifier] [Negative Status] All opponent monsters has their Speed reduced by 1, with a minimum of 1. Monsters with 1 Speed before the effect applies are unaffected.
The decreased speed is good in making sure your monsters are able to attack earlier. Melee and range attacks will also miss less with your opponents having lower speed.
Conscript. [Support] Allow the use of one additional Gladiator this battle.
Conscript is extremely good in rules of combat that limits your card pool. Just like Dragon Splinters, this opens up more options for you to choose from giving you a really good edge than your opponent's.
💪 Stats | Quora Towershead
Quora Towershead shines here with her balanced 3 Speed, mixed damage types of 2 melee and 2 magic and her Bloodlust ability, letting her grow stronger with every takedown. Paired with Lobb Lowland, Quora gains an edge over slower monsters allowing her to attack earlier and miss less.
At level 1, Bloodlust is unlocked. [Stat Modifier] [Positive Status] If this monster kills an opponent's monster, max health, max armor, attack damage, and speed increases by 1.
Bloodlust ability is a powerful offensive ability that makes Quora Towershead a threat throughout the battle. With each kill, Quora gains cumulative boosts in health, armor, damage and speed allowing it to snowball into a formidable force as long she gets some early kills. This actually makes the strategy of using low mana cost, low health monsters as your protection backfire.
At level 1, Heal is unlocked. [Support] At the start of this monster's turn, restore the its health by 1/3 of its max health.
Heal ability adds a layer of sustainability to Quora, restoring 1/3 of her health each turn. This ability is particularly useful in longer battles where healing can keep Quora alive. Heal with Bloodlust ability is a strong combination as Bloodlust ability also increases max health which increases the Heal amount over time.
At level 3, Immunity is unlocked. [Defense] This monster are unaffected by any [Negative Status].
Immunity ability provides solid defense by making Quora unaffected by negative statuses that could weaken her performance. This is very strong when you consider that Quora Towershead won't be affected by Affliction ability, which stops any health restoration for this monster, including her own HEal ability. This ability is essential against opponents that rely on debuffs as it ensures Quora’s stats and abilities remain unaffected.
At level 5, Dispel is unlocked. [Support] Removes all [Positive Status] from the opponent when hit by this monster's attack.
Dispel ability is an excellent support ability allowing Quora to strip away any positive effects from opponents it attacks. This is especially useful in countering monsters that rely on buffs like Inspire abilities or even Bloodlust ability. This ability will not stop or remove any effects of inherent abilities such as Shield or Void.

🔹 ᒪIᑎEᑌᑭ 🔹
Lobb Lowland: Lobb Lowland's ability to reduce enemy monster's speed by 1. It is crucial for gaining an advantage as it limits opponent's speed making it easier to hit.
- Quora Towershead: Quora Towershead is the perfect unit for a 16 mana cap battle. She has 10 mana cost while Lobb Lowland has 6 mana cost. Her Heal and Bloodlust abilities can capitalize on this advantage of having not only few monsters on the board due to the low mana cap, but also the fact that she passes the speed requirement for Need for Speed rule of combat. I chose her despite the possible damage from Counterspell because I know her Heal ability can outheal that damage.
🔸 ᗪIᗪ YOᑌᖇ ᔕTᖇᗩTEGY ᗯOᖇKEᗪ? 🔸
Yes. The strategy worked effectively by leveraging Lobb Lowland’s ability to slow down opponent's speed making it easier for Quora Towershead to dominate this battle. By reducing enemy monsters' speed, Lobb Lowlands gave Quora more chances to secure kills early on and activate its Bloodlust ability, making it stronger. The early kill on Chaos Agent was a big deal as it increased Quora's Heal restoration by 1, melee damage by 1 and magic damage by 1 among other increased advantages.
🔹 ᗯᕼᗩT ᗯIᒪᒪ YOᑌ TᖇY ᗪIᖴᖴEᖇEᑎTᒪY ᑎE᙭T TIᗰE? 🔹
None. For 16 mana cap battles, I have two main lineups. The first one is using Katrelba Gobson, a Gladiator unit with Double Strike, Sneak and Bloodlust. Her partnered with a good tank and another Sneak monster makes an unpredictable combo. The other one is as you've seen, a solo carry with Quora Towershead. Since we have Need for Speed rule of combat, I feel like this is the best lineup for this current set of rules.
🔸 𝑫𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 Lobb Lowland and Quora Towershead in Need for Speed Rules of Combat? 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒕? 🔸
Yes. I find Lobb Lowland and Quora Towershead to be an excellent combination in the Need for Speed Rules of Combat. Lobb Lowland's speed reduction ability pairs perfectly with Quora’s self-sustaining abilities and mixed damage creating a well rounded team despite losing the numbers advantage. This synergy makes them a reliable and powerful choice for speed-focused battles especially in those that have low mana cap.
