May it not happen to us

(Luke 19:42-43)

Lord, may this evil not happen to us and our generation:

May it not happen that our enemy will throw up a barricade against us and surround us on every side.

Father, may it never happen that, he would hem us in on every side, and dash us and our children to the ground.

Lord, may it not happen that the enemy will have the chance to ruin us and utterly waste our essence.

Father, may it not happen that we become too naive and too insensitive to the voice of the spirit in such a way as to willingly submit ourselves to the enemy.

May our enemy never acquire us as a booty.
