One of the most satisfying moment in gardening is when you are able to harvest the fruits of your labor finally. I've been patiently waiting for it and now, the time has come. Joy is overflowing within me and it's a blessing that I'm able to plant some before.

Just a little flasback, I planted my string beans last November 29 and I made a blog about it. You can read with this link. After my first attempt in growing string beans, I immediately cleaned the are and decided to grow once again. I'm glad that it didn't fail this time and they grew well as what I'm talking in my past blogs.

I documented their journey on how they develop their leaves, grew their shoots and finally climbed up in their poles. On how they developed their flowers and their first baby string beans. It's such a good memories to remember especially that I did my first harvest from them this day.

This morning I woke up early to prepare for the most awaited moment of my gardening journey. Actually I visited them yesterday afternoon and my grandmother said that it's better to harvest them in the morning so I decided to do it this day.

Without wasting any more time, after we had our breakfast, we set out already together with my cousin. I'm very excited to do it since it's a first harvest of my plants.

We arrived in the area and it's so good to breathe the fresh air in the morning.

I started to pick my string beans and as you can see in the photo that I have a bucket with me and it's a subtitute for the wooven container that is used to harvest vegetables here in the province. My grandma said that I bring it and put the string beans that I harvest.

The other reason is that it's a lucky charm to have a bountiful harvest all through out, according to the old ones here.

I'm very happy while harvesting the ones that are okay to get already but along the process sadness came because some of my string beans has been eaten by worms.

Despite that, this is a good sign that they are healthy to eat because it's an indication that there's no chemical applied to it which is very true.

I continued harvesting them and along the process I saw string beans that are good as my binhi or seeds to be use again that's why I didn't get them.

After the process I got to harvest this many which is good already and with this one we already have a viand for our lunch.

My grandma was the one who cleaned it and prepared it for our lunch. Fresh and healthy string beans from my garden.

Gathering organic soil once again.

I used up all the organic soil that we gathered last time and I need more of it since I have a lot of plants to plant again. I asked my father if the hays last time already turned to oraganic soil and he said yes. So I decided to go to there after my harvesting session, I go home first and ate lunch before I went.

I began to gather them already as I arrived there because the dark clouds are already forming in the mountains.

After gathering the soil, I have gathered 5 almost full cavans and it's a good thing. The only problem is transporting them since they are really heavy because it's wet. It's not a problem anyway so still it's okay even if that's the case.

My dog Kenny was with me so and I didn't miss the opportunity to take a picture of him. Look at him, seems he already know that I will take a picture of him hihi, cute.

And my day ended with a smile on my face. I'm really hoping that in my next harvest, the string beans that I will get will be doubled or tripled.I thank God for this bountiful first harvest.

Once again, thank you for reading.

-Plant,plant and you'll survive.
