Dismantling a recliner

In 2017 I had stopped in at one of my favorite facilities where I'd been playing music for several years already.
A lady whose husband had been a long time resident (and for whom I had performed at two private parties) was there moving her husbands stuff out; he'd had to have one of his legs removed and as such could no longer live in this facility.
This chair was part of those possessions.
She told me that SHE had gotten it from a resident across the hall some years prior to that.
It was damaged by (she said) big fat caregivers who just plopped down in it rather than sitting

I did some extensive repairs, clamping, gluing and screwing

So for 5 yrs I've been carting this chair from place to place, considering it a prized piece of Leather Furniture.
After my hip surgery, this seemed to be the best place to sit... for a while.
Then after getting here to my new house, I determined that the lack of proper cushioning was actually harming me, and it has been back here in my bedroom serving as a place to toss things.
Several months ago, I saw a post in the Hive or talked with someone in Discord about making Moccasins.
I thought this would be a great use for all that leather (of course I knew that most of it would not be leather)
So yesterday I finally began.
I have now discovered that this thing is covered in the finest, rare, "North American Blue Nauga" hide.
Except possibly the headrest and back cushions

I have busted my ba... um, Butt for the last 24 hrs off and on getting to this point

Since the hide of the prized Blue Nauga isn't durable enough to make footwear, I wonder if it is worth trying to dismantle it for materials.
What do you think @vickoly ?
Or now that I have the two cushions that ARE real leather (at least on the front sides) should I just haul this thing to the burn pile out back?

I'm thinking I've spent enough time and energy on this piece of furniture, having gotten it for free 5 yrs ago and hauled it from Mableton, to NW Atlanta, to Auburn Ave Atlanta, then to Smyrna Ga then here, it has come full circle at last.
