xDAI Punks Minting Starts 5 Hours From Now. Minting Will Cost $12 Per NFT [xDai]

If you always wanted to own a crypto punk NFT but never had enough ETH to spare, here is your chance. Sure, it is a copycat project on the xDAI chain but if you want to experiment with NFTs it doesn't get cheaper than this.

When?

22:00 UTC, September 5, 2021

Where?

xDai chain. Prepare a Metamask wallet, click on the dropdown menu, scroll to the bottom and select Custom RPC. Once there, enter the following parameters:

Network Name: xDai
New RPC URL: https://rpc.xdaichain.com/
Chain ID: 0x64
Symbol: xDai
Block Explorer URL: https://blockscout.com/xdai/mainnet

You will need a small amount of xDAI to get the transactions going. If you have none try getting some from one of the faucets.

Bridging funds is possible from BSC and Matic through xPollinate. Supported currencies are USDC, USDT and DAI. For more options check out this Medium guide.

Once your funds are transferred over to xDAI, you can convert them to xDai using Honeyswap.

How and Why?

The NFT market is growing at an alarming rate and there getting familiar with it would be nice, if you want to keep up with the industry. Minting this one costs only $12 and minting only one is completely OK.

xDAI isn't some random chain. It is backed by a large community and upgraded with constant developments. I suspect that a big part of that community will be participating in tonight's minting event and we should grab a seat as well.

The trading market will immediately be opened and you will be able to buy other punks or sell yours as soon as the minting process starts. Who knows what may happen if the project picks up steam.

$12 per NFT is a fair price if the developers keep their promises of woking on the project for the long-term. Even if there is a slim chance this one becomes a part of xDai's crypto history, why miss out owning one of them for just 12 bucks?
