Hello !

Have you read your fortune lately? I mean, like out of a fortune cookie? A couple of weeks ago I stopped at a local restaurant called Golden China that we love and picked up some lunch for my Mother and I. They always throw in a couple of fortune cookies with the order. After lunch we each break one open and read our fortunes, which never seem to quite be fortunes these days. Used too they'd predict your future or something, but now they just seem to say weird stuff, like the below: "Because of your melodic nature, the moonlight never misses an appointment."

WHAT??! What does THAT mean???

I actually don't have the foggiest of ideas. How many appointments does the moonlight have besides to show up every night except where the clouds keep it from shining through and even THEN it is still up there shining on top of the clouds. How does my melodic nature affect that?? I certainly do have questions !

When I lived in San Antonio, I went out to lunch one time with my co-workers and THEY taught ME that you were supposed to read whatever your fortune said, out loud, and then say "in bed" at the end of whatever it said. They all did it and so of course I did too. I don't remember at all what any of them said, but I do know we got a lot of laughs out of it. I've been trying to teach my 90 year Mom that. She goes right along, since we are not usually in mixed company. Sometimes we get a laugh, but sometimes when they are like this one I got a couple of weeks ago, it's not even funny!

She doesn't like the cookies and will usually take one little bite when she opens hers and then she gives me the rest of the cookie after she pulls the fortune out. I can't say they are the most wonderful thing, but I still kind of like them, so I eat mine and hers too !

I mean, why not ???

So I made this happy person dancing or running.... or I don't really know what it's doing, but I made it to go along with the fortune that it appears to be gliding or hopping over.

If you know what that means for my fortune, let me know because I'd like to know what my fortune is. I need an interpreter it seems.

After work Friday I found that my car wouldn't start. Seems the break pedal bushion (spell?) is gone and the brake lights never went off till the battery ran down when I came back from Mom's last Sunday. (@%(%_#$!$)@%^@)$!).... right ? So there was a baby shower for one of my nephew's baby's momma yesterday and one of my sisters had to come get me. Tomorrow I will call the mechanic and see when they can fit me in. I didn't mind staying home all day today at all. I ordered a grocery order last night that came at 11 am, so I was set for whatever would come up.

I can't like car issues !! I guess that makes me car-issue-intolerant.

Anyway, it's always best that if you are going to have car issues, you are home already and it has it's issues in your carport, that is my theory anyway.
