Small Moments, Big Smiles: A Day to Remember

Hello Hivers! It's me again, @itsmemic , and I'm here to share what made my day special.
Morning Duty:
That morning during my duty, I was feeling bored, so I decided to take a selfie. The lighting was perfect, but since my phone’s front camera was broken, I had to flip it and use the back camera instead. At that time, I was wearing my student sling because we were required to wear it even while in the office.
Evening Plans:
After my duty, my friend and I decided to go out for dinner. We both craved 7/11 ice cream because we missed their affordable yet satisfying servings. Before going in, we took the chance to snap some photos outside the store to showcase my outfit. My friend, who is an amazing photographer, knew exactly how to find my best angles.
While she entered the store first, I stayed outside to check the photos she took on my phone to make sure they turned out great.
Inside the Store:
The moment I stepped in, my attention was immediately caught by the display of donuts. They looked so sweet and tempting—perfect for anyone craving something sugary.
Beside the donut display was a section for foot-long sandwiches, which my friend insisted we buy. She mentioned that the sauce and the overall taste of the foot-long was one of her main reasons for coming here.
We also bought meal packs with rice and viands since we hadn’t eaten dinner yet. Lucky for us, there were still some meal packs left in the fridge. I prefer these meals because they’re microwaved and served hot, which is super convenient.
Christmas Spirit:
The store had festive Christmas decorations on the walls, making us feel the holiday spirit.
From our seats, we could also see the Christmas tree outside. I told my friend, “Let’s get closer later after eating because I really want to take clear pictures of those lights.” She immediately agreed—no questions asked!
Ice Cream:
After finishing our meals and foot-longs, we went to buy ice cream, which was the main reason we visited. As expected, the serving was tall and full, and it only cost 20 pesos—super worth it!
Christmas Tree:
After eating, we headed to a Christmas tree display nearby. The tree was creatively made from wires, with Christmas lights wrapped around it, creating a glowing and festive vibe. It was quite tall, and I couldn’t help but admire the effort put into making such a unique decoration.
It was a simple yet fun day filled with good food, festive vibes, and memorable moments with a great friend. Sometimes, it’s the small things—like enjoying affordable treats and seeing holiday decorations—that truly make the day special.
