Red Lizzard - Our All-Time Favorite Mexican Restaurant in Town!

When we can't decide what to eat, I and @ybanezkim26 would immediately think of our all-time favorite Mexican restaurant - RED LIZZARD - located at IT Park, Cebu. And we were lucky that they had a branch in Ayala Center Cebu which we were initially unaware of but found the place during our random meetups in the city. We didn't really have an agenda for why we decided to meet up but we just wanted to check in with how we are doing as we haven't seen each other for quite a while or perhaps we missed each other's company.
 

 
The branch at Ayala Center Cebu has a large space compared to the one in IT Park. On the outside, the look, if I will be honest with it, isn't as inviting as the rest of the restaurants inside that mall, especially during day time when their color motif isn't popping out. However, this doesn't mean that this place doesn't deserve your attention because, for someone who knows their food, they are worth your time.

On the inside, the interior may look simple but you could definitely feel the Mexican vibes with a few wall artwork, black and red colors, and wooden furniture. I like that they are spacious enough and have an open area overlooking the green scenery of Ayala's garden.

So why is RED LIZZARD our ALL-TIME FAVORITE MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN CEBU?

👉 TACOS! NACHOS! AND BURRITOS!
 

 

 
They just have the most delicious Tacos in town! Not to mention their Nachos has also been one of our favorite. They serve a variety of dishes. They also have taquitos, burgers, chicken wings, cheladas, and alcoholic drinks.

I ordered the Los Tacos Originales which only costs Php 299 or $5.24 for 3 pcs already. The tortilla is hard and crispy filled with their homemade taco meat, some iceberg lettuce, queso fundido & salsa roja. Every bite will just leave you wanting more.
 

 
I also wanted to try a new dish they had which was the Arroz A La Plancha which also costs Php 299 or $5.24. This dish is a Mexican-style fried rice with flavorful spices and savory meat topped with an egg. I minimized eating rice since changing to a healthy diet but I wouldn't regret eating this tasty rice meal that I finished the whole plate even though I was feeling full already halfway through the meal.

 
For @ybanezkim26's choice, he ordered Nachos with meat that costs Php 249 or USD 4.36 which was already good for 2 persons. What I love about this was they were generous with the fillings - texas style queso, beans, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, salsa roja, sour cream & pickled jalapaños. This dish is absolutely the perfect snack for any occasion.
 

 

 
Another dish he also ordered was the Texas Tacos which costs Php 189 or $3.31 for 2 pcs already. Compared to the Los Tacos Originales, the tortilla used for this is soft and filled with lots of toppings and spices. A different taste of tacos but equally tastes good.

I need not say more as I can certainly assure you that dining at Red Lizzard is quite a treat! You will surely fall in love with the Mexican-inspired dishes, ambiance, and vibes! Don't blame me if you keep coming back here just like me and @ybanezkim26.
