Freedive Tabogon | I didn't find any turtles but I did find peace.

My last freediving spree was at Sea Turtle Lagoon a few months ago. Just by the name of the place, one would expect to see these sea creatures but alas we weren't blessed with their presence. Perhaps it was the time or season. I did know that compared to the turtles in Moalboal which are more used to human contact, the turtles here aren't. And I guess we would have to respect that.

Despite the turtles' absence, this freedive wasn't a lost cause! I had the pleasure of finding corals and a few colorful fishes. Aside from that, it was just the perfect way to reorient myself underwater after months of hiatus. It was just relaxing, and I had that sense of freedom and peace that I only get to experience when I dive into the depths of the sea.

This time, I was with @ybanezkim26 and @intoy.bugoy which made this moment memorable. In the end, a turtle did show itself up far from the shore but we never got a glimpse of its beauty despite our efforts to swim towards it. I guess it wasn't our time yet. 😉
