I've been exploring makeup both on the creative and "simple" styles and even though I like a more dramatic look (since it looks a lot better on the camera haha) I like to create simple ones from time to time. Define simple? I don't even know the proper definition for styles yet, but I'd like to call it simple in a way that I can wear it outside without attracting too much attention. XD

There's a bunch of different names for the styles and it's so confusing for me especially a self taught and just new to it... Goth makeup, soft glam, full glam, grunge, alt, soft grunge, and so many other names. It's quite in fine art, so many names for different styles and I'd like to just do it instead of learning the names or technical aspects of them. :P

This is what I would call simple yet letting everyone know you have a makeup look. I created this look using only the Kaleidos quad palette in Venus Trap. This palette is one of the nicest cool-toned browns that I have since most of them would still look warm on me. Different makeup shades would look different on everybody's skin tones because color theory that's why it can be a struggle to find the right shade. But this is also the reason why I love Asian brands in general because they really suit my Southeast Asian skin.

This is an unedited look for the palette. White balance and lighting set to 5600k which is 'daylight' so it should show the most accurate I guess. It looks different in my photo above since it's a different lighting and I edited the colors so my face would not look 'too yellow' and would give a more accurate color for my skin.

Doing these product photos and videos made me realize how important the technicalities in photography are. Unlike in my fine art photography that I do, photographing products especially makeup needs an accurate lighting and color settings otherwise it's gonna look so different from in person. It's making me learn so much more and I appreciate it so much more when content creators show them as they are, since that of course (as a consumer) affect your decision to buy it or not. And especially why I also hate it when the official brand photos look so far from the actual look of the product cos it's so misleading and such a big waste of money for us. Looking at you, Kbeauty brands!!!

I think this look is giving elegance haha. I could see myself wearing this on some days or nights.
