An old homestead in Kakadu Natural Park

This old homestead cannot be seen from the road, you have to know it's there, you have to have a $WD to get in, you have to have faith that as you are driving through 6 foot high grass that you are actually heading in the right direction.

It was a old cattle station, abandoned now, but not for as long as you would expect, one of the giveaway was a abandoned air strip nearby, not foresaken long enough ago for the trees to start growing again so there is a clear gap.

The buildings themselves are corrugated iron, there is magical about the way this corrodes over time, the rust telling the stories, inside there was a dirt floor, the windows were just bit of steel you took of to get a breeze.

It's name - I've forgotten, which is probably apt, It's not on the maps anyway so there is no way of me explaining how to find it again anyway
