The Renogy RBM500 Battery Monitor is a durable and reliable product with an impressive set of features. Made in China, this device can handle up to 500 amps, from 10 volts to 120 volts, and displays the voltage, current, consumed power and battery capacity. The product comes with an easy to understand instruction manual and all the necessary items for installation such as the substantial and hefty shunt, a power cord for the shunt, data cable, and mounting screws. The standout point was the quality of the machining on the shunt, particularly the protection with epoxy and laser ingrained details.
 

The installation process was shown to be relatively simple, with the creators improvising a copper bus bar due to their lower amperage need. However, it is suggested to use an original bus bar for pulling higher amperage. The video demonstrated how to set up the amp hours, full voltage, and power off.
