Red One 2024 Movie Review

Hello everyone i hope you are well! Ι was absent for a week but for a good reason. I took some days off work and decided to visit another country, so during the next days you will also see 1-3 travel posts from my side. Before i left though the spirit of Christmas visited me and thus i decided to watch a related movie.
Red One is a brand new movie that was released a couple of weeks ago in 2024! The movie is 2 hours long and has a lot of big names in it. We have Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Lucy Liu and J.K. Simmons. Now this is a Christmas movie that combines comedy, adventure and fantasy elements!
Plot
So we have Santa Claus who actually exists and is planning his journey to provide gifts to the kids along with his Head of Security Callum Drift (Dwayne). A certain someone pays one of the top hackers in the world (Chris Evans) for a specific signal in the North Pole. Turns out that the signal is the location of Santa Claus who is kidnapped.
Now Callum reaches out to Zoe (Lucy Liu) the head of the Mythological department to see what's going on and how to find Santa. This leads back to the hacker who is actually a person who is always on the naughty list and never believed in Santa. Now he will have to realize that not only Santa but other mythological creatures exist and at the same time he needs to cooperate with Callum and find Santa!
What I Liked and What I Didn't
To tell you the truth i quite enjoyed the show and it seemed that some really nice work had to be put in order to have this outcome. For example, i really like the whole Christmas vibe and the CGI of the town and the other creatures. It literally combines the fantasy, adventure and comedy elements. It had a lot of action and a lot of different let's say mythological-type of creatures like Krampus for instance or Gryla.
All the actors were great and did their part. Dwayne as an actor if you ask me is basically the same everywhere. It's not good but it's not bad either as you know exactly what you are about to watch. This movie gives another Christmas vibe in general that both adults and kids can watch together. It's not the most awesome Christmas movie that i have ever seen but it's definitely not a bad one either. I would probably say it's like a 7/10 for me and as i said earlier it was quite enjoyable and i had a great time watching it.
