Don't Pick That || a five minute prompt

When I was younger, we were told horrifying stories about picking something that does not belong to us. The essence of the story was to scare us and discourage us from picking things on the floor.

As we grew we realized that most of those stories were fiction s and it was not real. But we've been trained in that particular order. Our parent gave us this mindset and it has been difficult to change the mind completely. Till date, I find it difficult to pick anything that is not mine .

Sometimes the instruction not to pick something might be good or bad depending on who gave the instruction.
