A Son Not Yet Met

Dear Little One,
I'm sitting down to write this letter to you, and I'm not sure where to start. I've been waiting for this moment for what feels like an eternity, and now that it's finally here, I'm overwhelmed with emotions.
I'm so sorry that I'm not there to hold you in my arms and welcome you to the world. I wish more than anything that I could be there to see your first smile, to hear your first cry, and to feel your tiny hand wrap around my finger.
But even though I'm not there in person, I want you to know that I'm with you in spirit. I've been thinking about you nonstop since the moment I found out you were on the way. I've been imagining what you'll look like, what kind of personality you'll have, and what kind of adventures we'll have together.
I know that I'm not perfect, and I'll make mistakes as your dad. But I promise you that I'll always do my best to be there for you, to support you, and to love you with all my heart.
I love you more than words can express, little one. You're already the light of my life, and I know that you'll bring me joy and happiness beyond my wildest dreams.
I'll be counting down the days until we can finally meet in person. Until then, know that you're loved, you're cherished, and you're the most important person in my life.
With all my love,
Dad
