Before heading off for the morning to the other side of the Vegas strip it was time for a gambling session at Pairs. With the way things were playing if I was up a certain amount, I’d just end up switching to a different slot. That seemed to bring a winning morning for me.

It all started with getting a decent line hit on Ramosis Treasure. I ended up playing it for a couple more spins getting a few more wilds but not as nice of a win as this.

When I first sat down on this thing the reels were moving so fast, I just about got up to go find something else. It was my first time playing it. I then noticed there was a speed option and I turned it down too slow. I love the thrill of the game taking a moment as it slowly shows the spin. Some people on the other hand can’t wait and just spam the button till they either run out of money or hit a bonus. I just don’t find any fun in that.

Next up was some three-wheel Fu Dao Le. I had yet to see one of these elsewhere and since I was in the mood to play a Fu Dao Le I thought why not give it a chance? After a couple of decent line hits, I ended up getting the bonus and getting another a little something for my effort.

While I don’t usually play these kinds of slots with the bandit arms and three wheels. I must say anytime I have I do generally have a fun time. They also seem to pay a bit better if you can land something. That is however big if I’ve had such slots like these go over ten spins without a single cent won.

I then hit up some huff and more puff for what a dozen times must be now while in Vegas. This bonus was not that great. I landed a few hats, but most ended up being straw houses. I decided how the morning was going to press my luck and keep spinning. I ended up cashing out with around 10 cents left. They all can’t be winners, but I was having a decent morning of at least breaking even on quite a few other slots as well.

It was then time to head out and enjoy a bit of a walk to the other side of the Vegas Strip. I did not make it as far down as I did on the other end. The goal was to make it to a buffet I had reservations for around dinner time.

Some places like the Venetian had quite the showstopper of buildings, fountains, and statues to look at. This place also screamed come lose money here so we can pay for the upkeep of all of this. I was not so inclined to do so.

It was quite hard to not leave this area of the Vegas strip. It just looks just so crazy. I did not see anyone getting a paddle ride around the channel. It seemed the only boat there was not in use for the day. I have no idea at what times its operations or if it even is for this section of their property.

I then got another look at the billion-dollar sphere. It was far more impressive the other night when I went up some sketchy areas to seek a better look at it. There were also a couple of street performers, but I was glad they were not as pushy as some of the other ones I’ve come within arm's distance of in an attempt to pass by them. Some people just get way too pushy trying to lure people into whatever they are selling.

It was then time to enter the casino I was hitting my last buffet for this trip. They had quite a crazy indoor garden area. This was yet another area of a casino any time I was close enough to pass by it while exploring the place I took a detour to come back in and see anything I had missed the first time around.

This casino sure has the vibe of I can’t afford to be here, but I am anyway. How they let someone look the way I do in a place like this I have no idea. Perhaps security was asleep that day! You could tell there were many higher-end gamblers at this place. While it was nice I’d still prefer a place like the flamingo over this one.

While I played a couple of slots at the Wynn. Any bonus I got, if any at all, was paying out quite poorly. It was clear I was just paying for the upkeep of this place. At least there was enough to keep me entertained till it was dinner time.

The buffet was a step up from the last one in both price and experience. I was at the Wynn. There were lots of crabs or things like caviar put into dishes. I know what you are thinking, why get pizza at a buffet when there is seafood? The pizza was so darn good I was tempted to eat nothing else. I, however, was not here just for the pizza.

My next plate was a tactical error on my part. It was some kind of seafood boil. Yes, it was tasty. There was just one massive issue. It was a mess to eat, and they did not provide any kind of wet nap. For the rest of the buffet, my hands were covered in what they baked that seafood in and I could not get it off my fingers.

This also meant that I was no longer using my phone to take photos. I did not want to get that stuff all over the phone. Which is quite a shame as I wanted to get a few photos of the inside of the buffet.

This also means no photos of the amazing dessert section. It was quite a step above the last place. I did not find a single dessert item I did not like.

Speaking of things I did not like. They also had sushi here. While some of it was wrapped in seaweed like the last place a few different kinds were not. This is where I learned I love California rolls. So much so that I ended up going back up and loading up on some more.

Once I was done it was time to hit the bathroom and spend a while soaking my hands to get old bay and I don’t want to know what else from that seafood boiled off my fingers. I still don't understand to this day why if you are going to have something that messy at a buffet it does not provide a wet napkin. It’s not like the person serving the little section I was in was not aware my hands were covered in that seafood boil stuff.

Final Thoughts

It was yet another enjoyable day in Vegas. This was one of the rare days I did not get my 10 miles of walking in since I did not go much further than the casino that had the buffet I was going to. I was also stuffed and the thought of eating anything else for the remainder of the day and the next made me feel almost ill.
