The clock was ticking down and I still had a couple more things I wanted to accomplish before it was time to head out. So far Vegas had been a lot kinder than I was expecting. I still had some money left and you never know a good hit somewhere nothing that insane and I’d be back to break even or even leaving up a little bit.

One game I rather started to enjoy playing that is a new one is this lamp genie slot. Even on a lower bet, there is a chance you could have a decent win. I ended up getting a 100 times bonus with some amazing numbers being landed and even doubled a few times over.

It did help a lot that one of my coins ended up being worth $34.50. I ended up getting multiple lamps and one of them has a chance when you land the correct colored gem on the screen to randomly double any of the coin prizes already on the board. It ended up hitting one a couple of times during the bonus to bring it up to that value.

Since at the time the Superbowl was getting closer and closer they had set up some spots to take photos. One of them was around this giant fountain that had some nice hedges. It was quite packed with people waiting their turn to get a photo that showed the Superbowl number and a trophy at the top.

They also seemed to be setting up something massive in front of Ceases Palace. This looks like it would be quite a crazy fountain. For all I know they could also have been setting up some kind of movie shoot. They seemed to have quite a lot of people and equipment out.

While I had been to a lot of casinos at this point. I was hoping to find one that I could just sit at for hours on end and have something new to play that would also not suck the last remaining bucks I had out of my wallet.

I ended up going off to the Mirage. Quite a few movies around Vegas have been filmed out of this casino. So I just had to see what all the huge fuss was about.

Like several casinos, they had this green area with a small waterfall feature in the middle of it. I rather liked how close it was to the casino floor and it was in a dome-shaped room with a glass ceiling. Depending on where I was gambling, I could sometimes see it.

Since I was not going to be spending a lot more time in Vegas, I had some good and not-so-good days. I decided to give a high-spin three-wheel Goonies a try. One of the slots I was on the hunt for was a Goonies just not this one that cost $15 bucks I spin. While I did end up getting a bonus, I think I only won like $35 or something silly. Needless to say, this thing ate my money quickly and I was just fine moving on to other things.

I then went to play things that were a lot more within my budget. I was hoping they would have some classics here that I’ve been looking for. Yet another casino that seemed to have many of the new slots but nothing older I was quite looking for.

Before heading out. I did make sure to walk over to check in and see the giant fish tank! I even tried to film it for a bit but staff from the casino kept walking into my shot. Speaking of staff, some strange stuff was going on in this casino. I also was not willing to stick around to find out when it was time to head back onto the Vegas strip and see what else I could find.

Another thing I came across while heading up to Treasure Island is the statues they have of Siegfried and Roy. It is a bit sad how that went but rather cool they are honoring them and the lion in what looked like bronze statues. They even had what looked like a Hollywood square down below it.

Treasure Island had some cool-looking stuff. I could not help but stop and almost gawk at this motorcycle bike.

This casino also had some slots I was looking for. Such things as ducks in a row, crystal forest, cats, and many others. I alone was rather thrilled with these finds even if I did not win anything from them. I would have been rather happy if I had not found anything else for the rest of my trip that I was looking for.

Then I found it. The Goonies slot machine. While I was willing to sit there and keep feeding this machine $20 bills I did not need to. I got a couple of spins in and I got some features that kept me going for a while till I landed the bonus.

In the bonus, you hope you don’t get sent to the next floor above in the mine shaft. While the higher floors tend to pay a bit better. They are slowly marching you toward the collection and the end of the bonus. I lucked out a couple of times and got sent back down toward the lower floors. It was however only a matter of time before it was game over. While I did not win much it was more about the experience.

I was rather sad when this slot went missing from my local casino and I was so thrilled to find it here. This is one of the machines I ended up searching a few casinos in Atlantic City and not finding it. This was also the only casino that I noticed in Vegas that seemed to have it. It’s getting quite hard to find some of these slot machines that is for sure.

Before turning in for the night I ended up lucking out and arriving in front of the Bellagio fountains a couple of minutes before one of the evening shows was about to start. While I had seen it a couple of times during the day. I seemed to never be around close enough during the evening when it looked so much cooler.

After the show, it was time to head back to the hotel and get some sleep. I was quite worn out. So much so that I did not do too much gambling during the night. I’d get a few final hours during the day before catching my flight home.

The final morning, I ended up getting the most I won on a single machine during my entire trip. It was not massive or anything like that. It was, however, more than enough to help make up for some losses of the former day.

I ended up playing this mummy slot machine and I made it to the end where he took up the entire screen as wilds. This was my third bonus at this point and my biggest one yet in this slot. I had a couple of smaller wins that were not even close to this one but were enough to keep me playing and to keep increasing the amount I’d end up cashing out of this slot in the end.

Final Thoughts

It was then time to head home. Once we went into the air things quickly became cloudy and after a few hours, it turned into night. I had quite an amazing trip. I was also quite thankful my non-stop flight was a non-stop flight. It went a lot quicker.

In the future, however, if I want to gamble outside of my local, I think I’d rather go to Atlantic City during the off-season. It would be a much quicker and cheaper flight. I’d get better free play and more importantly, I do tend to get free room offers for casinos in Atlantic City. I ended up only getting one free night stay to return to Vegas and I’ve been there and done that.
