Today I want to share with you, a drink of Andean tradition out of the ordinary in the city and very effective in the fields, known as pujo root tea, from our Venezuelan indigenous roots, which helps to cleanse our body of any bacteria, which for reasons of environmental sanitation or food handling are often housed inside us, giving as consequences, intense stomach pain reaching major words like diarrhea.

I did not know about this drink, until my grandmother made it for me years ago and guaranteeing its function I can testify how efficient it is, I learned to make it, which is very simple and effective, when feeling stomach discomfort.

The pujó root is found in hot areas, its plant is mostly found in the hills, when it flowers it has yellow or purple fruits, depending on the family, on this occasion I was able to find it without flowers:

We get it in vegetarian markets or main state markets, usually they always keep the herbs in fresh or dried state, either state is valid.

Why this post?

These last weeks, I was sick to my stomach and I couldn't find the reason because I ate healthy, between inverted commas, but there are foods that sometimes we consume that we don't know exactly how they are handled and the ingestion comes into force.

While I was in bed, I meditated.

I will take pujo root drink, to control my discomfort, which was tedious and worrying.

So I looked for pujo root through a friend who has it in his plot and remembering grandma's recipe I started the process.

With the measures of two glasses of water, we put the root in until it boils.

When it is ready we let it rest, it votes a pink colour, being interesting ehhh.

When it is at room temperature, we can drink it without any problem, the magic drink and we can even cool it.

By drinking it like ordinary water, we help to cleanse our insides. Of course, everything in excess is bad, so we proceed to drink it for 15 days and stop.

One step at a time, it is part of life to learn and to leave a mark in every heart.
