Hold It Right There!……….My Actifit Report Card: March 24 2025

This black squirrel seems frozen in time! I was thinking-hold it right there, and ironically he did just that long enough for me to snap this pic! 🐿️

Not much was happening at home today as it’s been another rainy day here. We’ve got over 2” of rain in the past 36 hours! We are finding even more ponds and lakes springing up everywhere! @silvertop took the studded tires(aka stiletto tires) off of my Suzuki today and while he did that, I roasted coffee for a customer and for ourselves. Once we were both done, we decided to go and mail the coffee as well as a gift I was sending to our daughter in law, Agi, and decided afterwards, to go to Lynden City Park. That’s where my little squirrel friend was found. Here, you can see him contemplating the swollen creek that now looks like a raging river!

The water was about 4-ish feet or so from the bottom of this bridge.

This next bridge is a little higher, but normally, it’s about 10-12’ from its span.

This creek is usually shallow enough that kids play mostly unattended in it. Not so today. There were actually rapids in some areas!

I’ve got a couple of videos to share, but this particular one shows water flowing in opposite directions. Crazy!

Unfortunately, the video will not load. 🙄 Maybe it will by tomorrow. Anyway, here’s more pics from the park.
