Welcome, on this fine but seriously rainy, Sunday! Our day began at church with me wondering while on the way, if we might not just need a boat! It’s another one of those‘atmospheric rivers’, as they call them and the water is on the rise! There are impromptu lakes and ponds forming everywhere! The Nooksack River has risen almost a foot over the last 12 hours and by the amount of rain we’ve gotten just today, I’m guessing it might make it close to flood stage. 😳

Church was awesome as usual. Pastor Kyle let one of the deacons give the sermon and it was done well. It was on the lies the enemy tells us. Worship was awesome as well.

With all this rain, hiking as well as any outdoor activity, was pretty much out of the question. I had an Amazon return to take, so we headed to Bellingham to drop that off. Then we went to Walmart and when done with that, headed to the Lynden Starbucks for coffee. Meanwhile, it continued to rain. The amount of water on the roadway was scary-hydroplaning a definite risk, that of which most of the drivers out were ignoring. I kept waiting to come upon an accident.

The coffee was excellent and upon almost drinking it all, we headed for home.
