You can see here works of art that were made of glass and some of them look really very abstract! Each of these works looks very elegant and admirable in its own way and does not need to hide in any way. Glass is created by heat when, for example, sand meets heat and begins to melt and the cooled result is glass. The first objects made of glass are already 7000 years old and the first finds can be traced back to ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia.

In the past, glass was mainly used as a tool to produce everyday objects such as scrapers and knives. The first everyday objects such as vases, jugs or cups were then created around 3000 - 3500 B.C. and parallel to this time, glass was also increasingly appreciated in other places such as ancient Greece or Asia and was used for the production of different objects. From about 1400 B.C., new methods were invented that facilitated the production of glass.

Over time, glass also became an increasingly popular art form and stylish decorations such as windows, chalices and other works of art were made from. Venice has also become an important center for glass art and in 11th century, the trade of glass flourished more and more and Venice became an important center. With the time of the industrial revolution, glass was also produced more and more commercially and still enjoys great importance in many different areas today.

Symbolically by the way, glass is a sign of clarity and transparency and also in alchemical symbolism there is a own symbol that is associated with glass. For the alchemists, of course, glass vessels were also very important for the extraction and distillation processes. There are often different views of symbolism and often shards are referred to as lucky charms and glass is also often associated with magic. Even from a spiritual point of view, glass is often associated with creativity, beauty and transformation.
