Three tune tuesday - music helps us communicate

This is a human post. One for my mother to read. (I love you mom).

Thanks to @dbooster - that's DA booster to you - I have discovered Three Tune Tuesday. As a philosophical farmer and a bit of an amateur musician myself - I have always loved music's ability to help us communicate complex topics better.

So today I have selected three songs that jam hard on my current playlist, just for you, and will use them to show you what "I've been working on", in a non-technical manner.

So after two months of loud and verbose work, "theater" you might say, interviewing leaders and proposers, asking questions, sourcing community feedback - we have taken the next step in exploration: we finally pulled the trigger on our very own DHF proposal, the fastest flash proposal in history.

So far, I have indexed all the negative feedback into 7 main categories:

  1. Too vague
  2. Too wide
  3. We dont need beem
  4. Too quick (voting)
  5. Too tight (payout)
  6. Remove Travel
  7. Remove hive power

I will address all these in upcoming posts. We are working hard, to figure out DHF - and I am not embarrassed to put my neck (and reputation, its all on the blockchain for 7+ years after all) on the line to do it.

Oh and a bonus:

    • This should be done by one dev and a raspberry pi.

LOLOL okok no. just, no.

This can not be done by one person, we are two. We hire out small, well scoped tasks constantly.

Which brings us to the next song: I am a lucky man.

BTW - Remy is a national treasure. 'Nuff said.

Of course, I am the luckiest man in the world that @ecoinstante puts up with me, a stubborn and sassy dreamer who does things differently. But related to the topic at hand:

I am so extremely lucky to have found my partner in crime @thecrazygm so many years ago. He is the best sysadmin I have ever known, I don't even know how to tell people how amazing it has been to work with such a competent human.

I am quite lucky to have connected with @spiritsurge - who manages an abominable monster stack and is a commanding PM in his own right. Level headed, diplomatic, verbose and patient, the fact that he puts up with my skill set is a luck all its own.

I can't believe my luck with finding and befriending @hivetrending, the synchronicity of universal energies never ceases to astound me. I'm not just in his DM's, I'm all over his repos, I don't have words for how amazing this guy is so I will just say, again, I am a lucky man.

We have had some trouble with front-end people in the past, and that's putting it lightly. Maybe javascript does something to your brain? But how lucky can I get that I found an amazing, efficient, available, friendly js sniper in @mirafun. I would hire this guy in an instant, and sometimes I do it twice a week.

We are all lucky that we live in the same world as @alohaed's voice. I guess I'm extra lucky because he seems to enjoy working with me.

I met @josephsavage in Austin, Texas in 2018 - while working for the same (failed) company where I first co-worked and connected with @thecrazygm. Since then I have marveled at his brilliance, I'm the guy who was "good at math", and this is the guy that I go to in order to check mine. How lucky can I get that he considers me a friend?

@btcsphere is a project from my oldest friend, @lazy8 - a man I call brother, who I first met in 2007. Marketing director for what was once a start-up, and now is a powerhouse of nation wide distribution for a unique and interesting product line, I am incredibly lucky that (unlike all my other friends from that era), my own life choices of moving to South America have not distanced or broken our bond.

There are so many more, and honestly our support staff section could have gone on a lot longer too. I am a lucky man.

On to the next song

"The pills are all the same, the illusion is you choose"

Politics. Its gross. Its necessary? Its all distorted and out of whack. But reaching out to people, your local community, getting to know them, helping people, relating - these things will never get old.

The divide and rule play book is as old as time, classicly Phoenician, Venetian, British - etc etc. But we have found freedom technologies. We can connect in ways they can't stop, can't monitor, can't contain.

We do not comply with the left right divide. I still sometimes fall prey to it. But, its a distraction. Let's talk it out. Its okay to disagree - in fact it may be essential. We don't need to get weird about it. Laughter and memes may be the solution too, and they work with music as well:

Bonus: Amazing AI slop song I found!

I know nothing about this topic, haven't seen the trailer or anything, but you have to admit that humor and trolling is a powerful force in this world. And - AI is getting better (prompt engineering humans are getting better with the tools).

Music

Music can help us say stuff. Meaningful things. I have a lot to say, in fact I write dozens of posts about it, some (okok many) too "technical" for my mom to read.

I think with music, I can bridge that gap.
