"Planet Hulk: World Broken!" #5 presents an interesting scenario for the green man, or I should say all of the green people on Sakaar. Joining forces with the Hulk to battle Grand Priestess Venkiera's plan are Amadeus Cho, She-Hulk and Korg. Hulk is known as the Green Scar and the Worldbreaker on this planet. We must keep in mind that Greg Pak's story takes place a thousand years from our present day. The Haarg, or the green-skinned people of Sakaar, are referred to as monsters under the rule of Venkiera.

In actuality, it is the Haarg that don't want anyone to die. At this point in time, Bruce Banner has combined his intellect with the Hulk's brute force to fight this war. The Hulk is a tortured soul, as he deals with being a monster and a man at the same time. When the Priestess sends lava their way, the Hulk must make a decision, but he makes a mistake. Just when they thought they were saved by doing what he does best, which is smashing things, it is the Hulk's power that ignites the cosmic rays which can now take effect after the molten core is destroyed.

Jumping into the core and smashing it, the Hulk is able to jump start the planet again, but at what cost? We saw him go in, but is he going to come out? This is all because he wanted to correct his mistakes. Manuel Garcia, Cam Smith and Chris Sotomayor do a great job in bringing this whole tale to life. In addition, the amazing cover conceptualized by Sotomayor, Carlo Pagulayan and Jason Paz just make you want to pick up this issue. I feel like I can never go wrong choosing a story involving the Hulk. Now, I have to wait for #6, if there will be one. I guess this depends if the Hulk survived this ordeal.
