Division Orientation Workshop on the Implementation DepEd Order No.54 s.2022

Hello, have a nice and wonderful day all of you my dear Hivers. I hope that you are all safe and in good health always. Today let me share with you about the training I attended last week held in my very own municipality. This training was all about the new curriculum to be implemented by the next school year which is all about the DepEd Matatag Curriculum which was launched by our President and Vice President or the secretary of Education. This new curriculum aims to produce job-ready graduates and responsible citizens and we'll take care of learners. The participants of the training were the Public Schools District Supervisor, 2 school heads from elementary and secondary, the TLE/TVL District Coordinator, and the EPP and TLE Schools Coordinator of the three sub-offices; the Balamban, Liloan, and Medellin Sub office. It was conducted for 2 days from Feb 28-29,2024.

The training started with a prayer and the singing of Phil. National Anthem, Sugbo Hymn, and Municipal Hymn. Then it was followed by the welcome message from the Public School District Supervisor and the Municipal Councilor and the roll call by the San Remigio Central School Principal. After which was the welcome dance by the San Remigio National High School Cultural Dancers. The Energizer was led by the gracefully selected teachers and students from SRNHS. When everyone was energized, our TLE division supervisor tackled the first topic which was the content of Deped Order 54. Or about the Matatag Curriculum.
 

In the afternoon session, another topic was discussed concisely by the brilliant speaker from Tuburan District. This was all about the Career Guidance implementation. The speaker emphasizes the importance of guiding our learners on their future careers that will fit and easy for them to look for a job in the future.
 

On the second day of our training, we were instructed by our division coordinator to benchmark selected schools in our municipality. For our district, we were assigned to observe at SRNHS. I'm happy that I have time to explore again my previous school and my Almater.

After our benchmarking, we went back to the covered court to continue different sessions and to hear some important messages and announcements from our assistant school Superintendent, supervisor, and the monitoring and evaluation team. The training ended full of new learnings and information on the new curriculum to be implemented next school year all over the Philippines. We, teachers, are now excited to implement this curriculum and hope that this will help make our new learners better citizens in the future.
