What a mouthful 🤢

My goodness, this might be the longest title for a video game ever. For the remainder of my posts about this game, let's just call it Assault On Dragon Keep. If you aren't aware who Tiny Tina is, she is a character from the Borderlands universe. Her stories can be recognized as Wonderlands rather than Borderlands. The game plays just like the first-person looter shooter Borderlands and that is not a bad thing.

I played the daylights out of Borderlands and Borderlands 2. I never got around to any of the DLC for those games. That is exactly what Assault On Dragon Keep is. A standalone DLC that is basically just Borderlands 2, a game I played 10+ years ago during college.

You'd think that a game this old wouldn't be very fun in 2022, but it somehow still is. The unique art style of the game keeps the graphics from feeling too dated. Plus the gunplay was always above average, so it feels decent in modern times today. I'm sure the game will only get better the more upgraded my weapons and skills become.

I am randomly playing this game because I got it for free with February 2022's PS Plus lineup. I actually already had this game in my library with the Borderlands Handsome Collection, since it includes all DLC for Borderlands 2 and some prequel content as well. I never got around to playing that back when I got it for free with PS Plus.

I find it pretty sad that PlayStation has now given this game out twice. What makes it even worse is that the game greets you with the option to preorder the upcoming game Tiny Tina's Wonderland which will be out at the end of March. I actually want to play that game, but I think it's annoying that they gave us a $10 DLC for free again, just to help promote preorders for their new game.

Anyways, enjoy today's video. I went with a Psycho class, which may end up being a mistake since it is melee focused and I primarily use guns in this game. We shall see how this works out. So far I'm pleasantly surprised how well this game feels in 2022. More Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure content to come.
