WHO IS MR. TITO CRIETA?

Sir Tito Mejorada Crieta or "boting" as his nickname was born on January 26, 1979, in Basak, Loon Bohol, to Mr. Gregorio Crieta, a street laborer, and Mrs. Mercedes Crieta, a dressmaker by experience. Though his family was not monied, they strived hard to make ends meet. He pursued his high school in their barangay. Until one day as he was about to go to school, he found out that his shoes was getting smaller for him. He endured it for few months but eventually it became irrepairable. Unfortunately, he could not afford to buy another pair of black shoes. So ended up sustaining to have worn his old white pair of shoes instead.

His stay with his uncle, Bishop Cornelio Mangoba in Mandaue City in the late 90's had him motivated to answer his call to become a pastor.

Following his graduation, he booked a ship bound for Cebu for a job hunt. He came in and homed with his uncle, in Mandaue City while searching for his fate. It was on 2009 that he got married with Jessa Buletin and begot his eldest son named Prince Jesty Crieta. Their life in the city was a bit difficult because every stuff entailed money. Thus he longed to go back to his birthland and settled there.

TIME OF TESTS, TRANSPIRATION, AND TESTIMONY

Arriving at Ubojan Loon, Bohol, in Sandingan Island in 2012. Life was a wildering ordeal of testing, transpiration, and testimony. An intensified sense of awareness about the realization of life as a family father sprung as they navigated the island alone with the family in pursuit of survival. A restless spiritual combat against the gravity of violent waves of trials and an unbearable duel in defiance to changing patterns of tides of faith left them emotionally worn out and physically strained, but his inner man was renewed each day, not lacking in hope for a fortunate tomorrow to evince.

TEST OF TIME

Prince was asthmatic when he was young.

The plain account of no regular work, was a description unearthing something grimly intolerable. Undeniably,there were times that he almost fainted and gave in to the thought of surrendering. What aggrieved much about their situation was his sickly asthamatic eldest son. On account of being so impoverished, Prince Jesty's poor health condition added to their ordeal.

It was too heavy for them, as if it cost them an arm and leg to pay for medications and habitual hospitalization bills. Finding themselves in these circumstances was so overpowering, but everything was perfectly understood. The path to victory must be narrow and, at times, spiky. Furthermore, much to their surprise, in every test encounter, God never forsakes them; instead, He keeps providing for their needs.

A TIME OF CHRONOLOGICAL CATASTROPHIC WEATHER EVENTS IN 2013

The catastrophic weather events that took place in series greatly affected lives in countless ways, leaving a trail of death and devastation in their wake. Its great losses were disastrous and sizeably matchless, beyond description. However, his principle in life was still untarnished. Despite the physical damage that ensued from their occurrences, he's trusting heart remained unspoilt.

The Philippines had experienced its deadliest earthquake in 23 years on October 15, 2013, according to records. The impact of the upheaval was equitable to 32 Hiroshima bombs.

Subsequently, Super Typhoon Yolanda, which hit the Philippines on November 8, 2013, was the biggest natural calamity the nation had ever experienced.

At first he engaged himself to a job called fish tank hoister for 25 pesos per tank in order to survive.

Until owning a barbershop

To survive the aftermath of the incidents, Sir Tito was impelled to do a paid errand as a fish tank hoister (mag alsa ug binanyerang isda) for 50 pesos per receptacle in his spare time. Since it was so hefty to lift solely, a need for somebody to partner on the task was urgent; therefore, a share of 25 pesos each was the turned-out agreement. Such was a "tough row to hoe" since they had to climb on a cliffside to be able to get to their point of disembarkation. Moreover, in order to have a good income, he engaged in business. Hence, he prosperously established a barbershop in their locality later on. That was of great help to the family.
