Hive Borehole Phase 2: Structural Development

The initial work that was done at the phase was the excavation of foundation for the tower, wall for the taps, and the creation of a platform for accessing water from the taps. The wall will house 4 separate standpipe taps to ensure easy and organized water access for residents of Nantong Kpawumo.
We all always install 4 taps and this is aimed at accommodating the water needs of a large number of community members who will be accessing water from the facility on daily basis. Currently, we are almost done with work on tower including the seat which will house the water tank.
The structure has been well erected, now undergoing a curing process. Giving it some time to cure is crucial as it allows the concrete to gain the necessary strength and durability. After this stage, there will be the installation of the water tank and the necessary pipelines to connect the borehole to the water tank and taps.
Work in phase 2 will be completed with tiling work which will not only enhance its appearance, but also provide protection for the tower and wall. We are committed to finishing Phase 2 soon to set the stage for the final phase of the project work, which is phase 3.
This is where we finally make the project available for community use by opening it with a launch event. Phase 3 is about publicizing the project and sharing the positive impacts of Hive. Through this we aim to give more exposure about Hive while also using it as forum to empower people with information that can give them an edge in our digital age.
With the progress made so far, we are very optimistic about meeting our project timeline; bringing all work to closure and achieving our goals. We look forward to the successful completion of the community empowerment project, which promises to bring lasting benefits to the people with power of Hive.
All of these developments are testament to the incredible support and love from the Hive community, local leaders and residents have been actively involved, providing invaluable assistance throughout the process. We thank everyone for their contribution and we will continue to keep everyone updated with all developments.
