Got My Shit Together...

Yeah, it has been a while since poking my virtual head into a post or comment here on the blockchain. If you read my last post, it was a matter of me getting my shit together.

Learning to give myself some grace, ask for forgiveness, forgive myself for my past transgressions, even when others didn't, and moving on was something I struggled with, but feel I have overcome. I want to thank @galenkp for sharing a 5FDP song with with me a while back that helped a lot. It is called "I Apologize". This song has played a great deal the last few months in my house. I

As far as finding purpose again, it was as simple as just living offline again. Enjoying the company of others when my health would allow and giving myself grace when it doesn't. It really was a struggle to make myself realize that people really don't give a shit what some washed up old Marine like me looks like now, or that I gimp around.

It was also refreshing and sad at the same time to find that many of my old friends have mental and physical struggles as well. Some have found new purpose in some other shape or form that has helped them cope. I hope eventually to find something as noble as a couple of them have that I can put myself into.

Hive Veterans seems to be a good start and something that struck a chord with me at one time, as did the purpose of the Cav Token. It is something maybe I could get behind again online.

Offline I have been thinking about assisting older U.S. veterans with their Veterans Affairs challenges. Many of them do not understand the system, how to use the modern online resources which make things much easier, and they also experience many other challenges such as lost records etc.

Anyway, I want to thank a few people: @wesphilbin, @thebighigg, @galenkp, @silversaver888, @thekittygirl, @stayten just to name some who's posts, comments, and Discord chats kept me coming back over the last few months.

Yes, I have been lurking about, reading and voting on posts, occasionally raising my head in a Discord channel or two. No more lurking about though, time to be a productive member of the community here again.
