Today I wanted to share my latest passion for essential oils!

Essential Oil Aromas

One of the things my wife and I got into a long time ago was essential oils. We found out early in our relationship that there were other things besides prescription medications that we can have around to help our bodies in many different ways! Fast forward many years and now we are still stocking up on essential oils at least once every few months.

One of the things I've been doing is grabbing some different blends for my wife to have around since they tend to have a bunch of different great oils in it and are multipurpose. What I didn't expect though was for me to fall in love with the smell of some of these blends!

We have quite a few essential oil blends but some of them are old and we ended up getting rid of them or they spilled and made a mess. I ventured out and got some blends and my wife worked out this deal to get some fantastic DoTerra brand oils! Those things are crazy expensive but we got a good deal and even got some oils that "aren't sold in America" for whatever reason that is, seems foolish but I digress.

I've used the regular oils for many different things but when I started checking out these blends and all of the good stuff in them I wanted to see what I could use them for.

When I say that I use them, I mean put them on like cologne! I don't, at least I think I don't lol, put on so much that you can taste it by being in my presence but I learned from my wife that you dab a little on your inner wrists, rub them together then massage it a little behind your ears on your throat area. These are the smell zones apparently, though I would have to look up more into what that means exactly.

Some of these here are ones that I use on a weekly basis. I really love the ones like "Rise and Shine" because they contain rose! I didn't realize I really enjoyed the smell of the flower type oil like rose until I gave this one a sniff. It instantly brought me back to my childhood with my older women family members having rose scented things and now I can't get enough of it. I will certainly be looking for more alternate kinds but the Rise and Shine one is a great favorite of mine.

Without going into every single blend, I did just also want to mention that I've been using the other multipurpose blends as well such as Stress Relief here. I'm sure many can relate that there are all kinds of damn stresses in the world right now and certainly here at home, we've got our fair share of them. To help my body deal with this besides drinking some good herbal teas, I've been turning to essential oil blends like this to help ease my body into a more relaxed state. It's certainly helped I think! I don't know if it's placebo type stuff but I know that just the smell of the stuff helps uplift me and my spirits so I can say if nothing else, I really love the smell.
