Hello everyone. I hope you are all well 😃

Today the day dawned super rainy, but that didn't stop me from wanting to walk around and photograph one of the most historic cities in Portugal, the beautiful city of Porto.
The so acclaimed undefeated city.

One of the most beautiful cities for me and with a lot of history.
It's a city with a lot to explore. The best suggestion is to make a route and get to know the city in stages.
In every corner and detail there is a piece of history, if it weren't for this city having given its name to Portugal. So today's itinerary was the D.Luis I bridge and the Serra do Pilar.
The D. Luís bridge is a bridge that connects the city of Porto to the city of Gaia.
These two cities are separated by the magnificent Douro River.
The bridge has an imposing metal structure and was built between 1881 and 1886 by Belgian engineer Théophile Seyrig. The bridge has two decks: the upper one for metro and pedestrians and the lower one for vehicles and pedestrians.
From the upper deck of the bridge you can have a stunning view over the Douro River and the surrounding area of the city.

It is possible to observe the Serra do Pilar Monastery, which is located in the city of Gaia.
This Monastery, considered a building with classical architecture, is used for worship, military and religious purposes.

From the D.Luis I bridge it is possible to see other bridges, one of which is the Ponte Infante D.Henrique.
And on the Douro River, a Rabelo boat crossing.

Here in Portugal it is often said that Porto is the most beautiful city and when your view is made of Gaia then I confess you have another, much more imposing view.

The houses in the riverside area are located along the entire slope on the cliffs with the Douro River in view.https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/clicks.clicks/243M5Sgbr114LSHZiChTM2fHBj5kewpmZJn65wPVgNecNQdMwt1P9uigZYpaEbDgXXWnk.JPG

The Serra do Pilar Monastery has a size that seems to swallow us in its structure.
With an architecture to take your hat off to.

At the Serra do Pilar viewpoint we can observe and contemplate the entire view of Rio. A telescope is available next to the Serra do Pilar Monastery through which it is possible to make more detailed observations of the city.
And how beautiful the view is, it will take anyone's breath away.

I'm also “suspicious” about this because I love the city of Porto.
Despite this weather, which does not encourage long trips, the rain stopped and the sun gave its grace so that we could enjoy "my Porto".

I hope you enjoyed this post of mine 😉
