Hi friends,

I was lucky to make it to Silver I, and I’m guessing it might be because the season’s about to end and everyone’s making a final push, which made it a bit easier for me to rank up. I don’t think I’ll be able to reach Gold League, but considering the level of my cards, this is already a pretty good result.

Right now, the reward cards are all Soul Bound, and you need $DEC UNLOCKED to transfer them to the market for sale. This discourages players who are just looking to profit, as there’s a risk the cards might not sell once they’re unlocked, reducing the appeal of using multiple accounts to farm cards. Though, smart players will still find ways to make a profit in the game.

For every pack sold—like the Chaos Legion packs—players eventually have to spend $2 USD on a Wild Pass to keep playing, which affects the cards’ collection value and causes card prices to drop. This could lead to a decrease in $DEC’s price and an increase in $SPS until they reach a price that players feel is fair. Will this approach help Splinterlands survive in the long term?
