TOP GUN MAVERICK ~ WHAT A MOVIE, AND YES I AM A FAM OF A 60 YEAR OLD MAN

We all, at least I do, remember the first top gun movie and especially the music. I even at one point had a leather jacket with a wooden collar.
Those were the days, being a fan of a story line,
thinking out loud and admitting the fact you had a crush. I think a lot of guys wanted to be pilots after Top Gun.

This is PATHE the Kuip they have 16 cinemas rooms and a chill out area and ofcourse a sweets and candy shop. A must go to when you go to the action movies. We bought candy and a soda.

Funny is that even when I am not on hive, I think Hive-like. See this this would be a great entry to the @shadowhunters this week.

This time the cinema was not fully booked, I think because of the weather and the fact people are preparing for the holidays.
Not us we went to see Tom. We wanted to see this movie ever since the date of realises on May 27th here I think.
And the other actors ofcourse.

Trailers are endless, there are a lot of movies, including dutch ones out this month.

Between the trailers also ofcourse the new Thor movie with that other mighty fine gentleman! I think the guys will want to go to that one, maybe I can make hubby take them next week.

The story is about the second part of the first movie that came out in 1986.

If you havent seen the first part do it, before this one just for fun and good old time sake, although the story can be understood when you did not se part one. And there were younger fans in the cinema so they might not seen the first part either. We were alive when part one aired , so we did know the part with Kelly.

Over thirty years later ( yes I am old ) this is a movie where the old one stopped. Tom playing Pete”maverick” Mitchell looks great. Time didn’t touch him ( yet ) and knowing that he does all the stunts himself is an achievement on itself. I love it.

It’s still about the pilots that are preparing for that one flight that will make a difference. The elite under the elite of you ask me and the countries proud men and women. The marine and its ships and the pilot school Top Gun in America. What a place. He returns now to teach the next generation, or will he do more? The ships and the school we don’t have in Holland. I know that we have fighter pilots and marines that go to the USA for training. Not sure if that is happening now.

The producer is Tom Cruise himself , together with Jerry Bruckheimer.
The director is Joseph Kosinski. Co actors this time are Miles Teller playing the son of Pete’s best friend in the first movie, he is so funny. I watched the red carpet in London and he was dancing in a white tux and having the time of his life. The fact that one leading role in a movie can change your carrier is I think what is happening here. Val Kilmer also in part one , he was made old or maybe he did some botox I don’t know. Last but not least Jennifer Connely in a beautiful Porsche. Gotta give it to the writers that scene where she comes in that car is epic. Ladies of Hive we need that attitude, and that dream of a car. She is also aging with such grace! And a few others for me unknown actors.

Love is also in the top gun air! But I won’t gell who.
Among the pilots in the Top Gun school is also a lady , I loved her pilot flight helmet and nickname Phoenix ( I made a picture and put it in the blog ) and that’s cool, it’s not all male dominated. Girls also can make it in the world of marine. We need women in leading roles and doing great stunts. I read somewhere that Tom learned all the actors to fly.
He has all his papers to fly jets, helicopters and planes, I take my hat of for his knowledge. I just try to get a blog made daily, and that is not even superb all the time.

If you can go , go to the movies. I loved it and its a great night it. And the story is one that does exsist in real life today, eventhough I hate war I know we need this. And this way we all get a peek in what those amazing veterans, still serving in our army’s do.

And that’s appreciated.
Maybe this way we can end wars and all live happy on this place we call Earth.
