Onboard Uptrennd on Hive Initiative - On the Move.

Irony found in the greatest horror, or something similar. Wasn't that a quote? Uptrennd became the very thing they scrutinized steem for. I have since tried to onboard as many people from Uptrennd as possible. I know what it feels to lose all of your hard work, get de-platformed, and torn away from a friend circle you once had.

I have since made an announcement that I will be doing a giveaway worth $800 in SP delegations and account creation for every uptrennd member that hates what is happening to them.

The idea is not only to onboard, but also retain. It was easy to motivate them with some liquid hive or HBD. But I believe SP delegations and the added helping hand of purchasing accounts for them will drive them to merge with the HIVE system. Not just create an account, claim some crypto, and disappear.

So far so good. 10k views on the post (boosted for like 400ish points), a few comments, most of which have inquiries and so on.

Since Uptrennd has officially announced its "merge" with TRODL on 31st May, the traffic has slowed down. I have a couple of DMs from users who are having difficulty creating accounts. In that case, I will be purchasing accounts for them and funding it with some SP and maybe liquid.

I will be getting to these guys and figuring a way out to get them on Hive ASAP. Sure, things are very different on HIVE. It clearly shows in the introduction posts. There are more than enough communities, groups and users that will make the move a little smoother.

Meanwhile, I am looking for ideas as to what to do with the account I created for Bill White. He has gone MIA on uptrennd and I don't know his username here.

So far I was able to find these accounts that needed a little delegation to keep functioning.
A couple of these have done no transactions on the blockchain at all. But I will let some SP waiting in their account in case they do come by to start their HIVE journey.

A couple of older accounts reached out for some support. They aren't from Uptrennd but it doesn't matter. I give retention a little higher priority than onboarding. Unlimited onboarding with no retention doesn't sound like a successful plan to me.

I will be updating the delegations and tipping liquid as I like over time.

Need you:

Uptrennd has become another name for a recurring theme. Censorship, de-platforming, etc. Became the very thing it swore not to be.
Jeff, the founder, usually posted boasts about how much better Uptrennd was doing than steem. Ironic. Bottom line is, there are plenty of users there looking for a safe place. Decentralized, immutable, larger and flexible ecosystem. Ring a bell?

I might not be able to reach out to all of them. But if we all can do a little reaching out, we might. If you can onboard users I will be grateful. I'll delegate every last SP I have. But let's not leave people deserted when there is HIVE to do so much more.
