Progress, at last

Hi everyone,
finally an update as promised.
this is a second part to the following post:

It has been way too long, but life sometimes gets in the way.

2023 was a very bad year for me (and for many others, I suspect).
had my last paid job pruning some 200 Olive trees in early February.
then, my car broke down and this saga went on for over 5 months and left me completely broke.
a new injection pump and many €-roes later, I finally got my wheels back.
only to have the battery die on me the next day.

as I was trying to go back to a relative normal, I broke my ankle. like I said, not a good year at all.

so the house, for lack of budget, time and labor was left wrapped in a plastic sheet, protected from the elements, waiting.

things are finally turning positive and this year has been way better. I have my car, I have my legs and plenty of work coming in.
in between projects, I find some time to work and progress with the house.

The external wooden shell is now complete.
in the above photo, a hole left to allow hot air to escape at the highest point in summer. it will get a metal cover over it once painting is done.

Next step is sealing all unions and cracks as preparation for primer.

The interior looks like the workshop I always dreamed of. it smells of wood and saw dust.
the internal walls will be installed over a layer of 8 cm. of sheep wool insulation.
used some old recycled windows that I happened to have lying around that happened to be of the right size. they will be later replaced with something more permanent.
